Accident plans don’t just cover medical reimbursement. Also cover disablement on part of the body which most company insurance doesn’t cover.

We have a client who also don’t think he needs an accident plan since his company has outpatient benefit, but he bought anyway for peace of mind since the premium is cheap and affordable. Never has he expected to meet with a car accident and lost his sight! Although he cannot get back his sight, the money comes in handy for his lost of future income as well as home modification with $300k payout.

More importantly, the company plan is only valid when you are still working in the company, what if you are in between jobs?

Do note that company benefits can change according to company budget too!

Wouldn’t you agree with me it’s always better to have your own personal plan than relying on a third party?

(This reply is applicable to should they get personal Hospitalization plan too since company already covered.)
