Hi Xxx,
Just out of curiosity, do you invest?
Oh why not? Do you know we are all either a consumer or an investor? So if you are not an investor, then you are a consumer. Let me ask you a question: When material costs increase, who pay? When a staff salary increase, who pay? When GST increase, who pay? Do you know this is what we call inflation that erodes money invisibly? Wouldn't you agree with me if you are not investing, you will be the one who keep paying for all the above inflation? Do you want to know how to be a smart investor? If yes, jump to Do you know if you happen to die untimely, what will happen to your investment? Basically, all your investments will be frozen and all debts (e.g. Accrued Income Tax, Mortgages, Personal or Company Loans) have to be paid off before the rest of the estate can be distributed. Where do you get the money to pay off those debts if any? Even with no debts, it will take sometime before your estate will be released depending on whether it is with Will or without Will and the complexity of your estate. What if the market crashes during the period of waiting and by the time your asset is unfrozen, your estate will have already lost a big part of its value? Do you want to know how you can overcome this? For your information, there are only 3 accounts that will not be frozen upon your untimely death. Namely: * CPF (with nomination) * Insurance (with nomination) * Trust (Funded, not a Standby Trust) If there is an investment that can give you more than 8% return yearly and yet if you die untimely, can guarantee you more than 300% of your capital put in, will you be interested in knowing more? Wouldn't you agree with me this is a good instrument to invest if you have some spare cash lying around in the bank earning miserable interest or intended to leave a lump sum for your next of kin? This post has been locked by a moderator.
